INDUSTRY DELIVERS BEST SEMA AUTO SALON IN PHILLY (MPMC)
Record Crowds, Core exhibitors and Hundreds of Hot Cars Make Fort Washington Ground Zero for Sport Compact Enthusiasts
Core sport compact, urban lifestyle and specialty automotive businesses successfully launched the custom car season at the 9th Annual SEMA Auto Salon in Fort Washington, Penn. Educational programs, cutting edge products and lifestyle shows jammed the convention center with thousands of consumers and industry attendees.
"I was a bit skeptical heading into this season," said Barry Adler, owner of Quick Time Performance, "but the foot traffic was fantastic. It's nice to talk to my customers and hear the enthusiastic feedback and sincere enjoyment of our products directly from them."
For retailers, SEMA Auto Salon opens the door to new business contacts and educational opportunities designed to help grow their business. Upon arrival, industry professionals were met by company representatives ready to answer their questions and talk shop.
"Not only was the show exceptionally well-attended but they were the right kind of people," said Phillip Phong of Mackin Industries who exhibited at the show and spoke with thousands of hard-core enthusiasts and industry professionals.
The SEMA Auto Salon is the only SEMA event open to consumers. This year's show had special trade-only hours on Saturday to allow for one-on- one industry talk before the throngs of consumers flooded the show floor. The color, chrome, lights and sound systems of the high-energy exhibits were matched by crowd-pleasing consumer attractions including a specialty car competition, music, dancing and technical demonstrations. "It's out of this world," said Chris Pagan as he marveled at the feature vehicles near the main stage.
