Key Features of This System
AEMs EVO X Cold Air Intake System utilizes an enclosed air box to keep heat from the exhaust side of the turbo away from the air inlet source (air filter). The AEM air box base is manufactured from heat-resistant, roto-molded, cross-linked polyethylene and includes an aluminum cold air box lid with embossed AEM logo that provides easy access to the filter compartment once the box is installed. The AEM air box also mates to the factory air inlet duct to ensure a fresh, cool air charge into the air box. A tuned aluminum inlet pipe helps increase torque and power and retains the factory Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) via an integrated, TIG-welded MAF adapter. This MAF adapter mates to a reinforced rubber turbo inlet tube that accommodates the factory blow-off valve and allows for significantly greater airflow (54% more than the stock intake system as tested on the companys SuperFlow flow bench in 1.5" of water). The EVO X intake features bolt-on installation and does not require the relocation of any components to install.
AEM Intake System Development Features
AEM air induction systems are dyno tuned to deliver maximum torque and horsepower, and OBDII sensors are monitored to ensure safe fuel trims and to eliminate the chance of throwing a check engine light.
All AEM intakes are constructed of CNC, mandrel-bent, 6063 aluminum and/or roto-molded plastic, and feature reinforced, TIG-welded brackets and fittings for maximum durability. AEM also includes a complete hardware kit and comprehensive installation instructions with every intake system.
