AEM recorded gains of 5.6 HP and 11.67 lbs/ft of TQ at 2600 RPM on the companys Mustang Dynamometer. KEY FEATURES OF THIS SYSTEM:
AEM utilized a continuously tapered pipe design that runs from the cold air box to the turbo inlet for optimum power. The smooth inner surface (with no steps) allows the system to maximize power and torque for this application. Because of the tight tolerances within the engine compartment and tapered design necessary to extract the most useable power, the Caliber SRT-4 Cold Air Intake pipe is manufactured from roto-molded polypropylene. Unlike polyethylene piping, which is used by some competitors, polypropylene is more heat resistant and will ensure that the extreme temperatures of the exhaust manifold do not affect the integrity of the inlet pipe.
Cooler air equates to more power, so the Caliber SRT-4 intakes oil-free DRYFLOW air filter resides in an enclosed air box with an opening that mates to the factory air inlet duct to ensure the coolest air charge possible. A removable aluminum air box lid features an embossed AEM logo and provides easy access to the air filter for easy installation and cleaning. This system is a true bolt-on application that does not require any cutting or component relocation to install.
