| Description: | Auto Meter's new Ultra-LiteTM Peak and Warn digital stepper motor gauges and Tachometer helped the Number 12 ALLTEL Dodge piloted by Ryan Newman get into victory lane in the 50th Daytona 500. In fact, all three top finishers in the Daytona 500 Sprint Cup race: First place Ryan Newman in the Number 12 ALLTEL Dodge, Second place finisher Kurt Bush in the Miller Lite Dodge, and Third place driver Tony Stewart in the Number 20 Home Depot Toyota ran Auto Meter's new Peak and Warn Ultra-LiteTM product.
This technology also swept the Nationwide Series race at Daytona with the winner Tony Stewart in the Number 20 Z-line Design Toyota, the runner up Kyle Bush in the Number 32 Beringer Vineyards Toyota, and third place finisher Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the Number 5 National Guard Chevrolet all running Auto Meter’s new Peak and Warn Ultra-LiteTM product.
Auto Meter capped off a perfect Daytona Speed Week by helping the top finishers in the Craftsman Series race get to victory lane. The winner, Todd Bodine in the Number 30 Jasper Engine Toyota truck, the runner up Kyle Bush in the Number 51 San Bernardino County Toyota truck, and third place finisher Johnny Benson in the Toyota Certified Used Vehicle Toyota truck all relied on Auto Meter’s Ultra-LiteTM product line to help power them into victory lane.
Auto Meter’s Peak and Warn Ultra-LiteTM products feature a very precise digital stepper motor and a user programmable warning level. If a race car exceeds this warning level (by either experiencing a pressure drop or a dramatic increase in temperature) an ultra-bright LED warning indicator comes on alerting the drive to the unusual condition. The peak feature allows the crew chief to recall the peak readings that the vehicle experienced during a race.
