Available for the 4.6-liter, V8 engine, the cam gears (part #98683 & #98673) are constructed from 6061 T6 billet aluminum for increased horsepower and fine-tune cam timing, and offers 12 degrees of CNC-etched adjustments in each direction (both advance and retard).

"We already offer an aluminum flywheel for the Mustang, and now it can be paired with our cam gears for the ultimate combination in enhancing performance."
Fidanza cam gears are unique because the inner gear is held to the outer gears by tightening stainless steel nuts to stainless steel screws, not by threading into aluminum, as is often the case. This allows the customer to put more torque onto the fasteners, creating a solid construction able to withstand high-performance conditions.
The cam gears are CNC machined at a consistent surface speed for a precision fit and finish, as well as an eye-catching appearance. Beveled tooth edges help to increase belt life. The outer gears also have a hard-anodized finish for strength. They are available in red, blue and clear.
