| Description: | More reliable, stronger, and lighter; it is unusual for any product to be improved in so many ways at the same time. But Outlaw Racing Disc Brakes has done just that with the latest addition to their Extreme Duty, or "XD", series of billet aluminum racing calipers, the new 3000XD.
To make this four piston caliper more reliable, Outlaw has eliminated the external fluid transfer tube. The external tubes found on most racing calipers are extremely vulnerable to damage from stones or other debris, especially in dirt racing. By routing the fluid directly through the hard coat anodized "bridges" between the two halves of the caliper, the Outlaw 3000XD completely eliminates that potentially dangerous problem. Thanks to a totally new design, the 3000XD is also up to 70% stiffer than comparable calipers. Increased rigidity improves pedal feel and gives the driver more precise control of the brakes. At the same time, the 3000XD is actually lighter than comparable calipers.
The 3000XD uses the popular 3.5" mounting pattern, with versions for .810" or 1.25" rotor thickness. It is available with four 1.38" pistons, or a 1.62" /1.75" piston combination to minimize pad taper.
