SPEC, Inc Clutches and Flywheels introduces a new line of billet flywheels and 240mm clutches for the 2006-2007 Mk5 GTi and Jetta. 

This package is made to replace the unreliable SAC clutch and dual mass flywheel and increase torque capacities up to 550 on street units and 750 on track units.   The flywheel is manufactured to an industry best .001 machine tolerance and is made from the highest quality aerospace aluminum.  The flywheels feature replaceable high carbon steel friction plates, a hardened replaceable ring gear, high strength racing bolt kit and SFI certification for safety under extreme racing conditions.   

The clutch of choice is the highly successful 240mm high clamp units SPEC offers for the 02M transmission (pre ’06 6sp).

The package offers a low moment of inertia, allowing for quicker revs and a lower stressed rotating assembly.   The package offers a 17lb weight reduction of over stock, noticeable horsepower gains and maintains excellent daily drivability.

Also available is a new aluminum flywheel for use with a stock-type Mk5 clutch.
