SPEEDCat Solves eCataloging Problems for Performance Manufacturers

LONG BEACH, CA - April 18, 2007 - More and more, the key to a lively sales rate is good data on products.

But for performance aftermarket manufacturers, cataloging products for channel partners has always been a challenge. Data has to comply with various formats and it has to be accurate.

That's why Digital Performance Inc. originally developed the first ASP/SaaS (software as a service) eCataloging tool - then called MIGI - in 2004.

Today in the first major upgrade to that software, DPI has introduced SPEEDCat.

More than a name change, SPEEDCat delivers streamlined mapping functions and more intuitive user interface to support manufacturers in quickly and accurately creating data. Product data created in supports multiple data export formats, including AAIA Legacy, ACES/PIES XML, and the data requirements for major distributors like Arrow Speed, Summit, AutoZone, Keystone, Advance Auto and many others. It also feeds into DPI's SPEED database.

Several new features now allow manufacturers to catalog their parts even faster:

AJAX enabled screens reduce the time to map products down even further.

Application Guide interface allows manufacturers to mirror their existing application guide using formatting that they are comfortable with and maintain it electronically at the same time making their data AAIA/ACES and FitsRight Compliant.

"It's fantastic", says Cami Hermann from Bilstein of America, Inc. "We can maintain our data in a similar format to what we had been using in Excel, but now we are SEMA industry compliant at the same time, making it very easy to send data to Summit, Auto Zone and our other large distributors".

"SPEEDCat is definitely a recommended data development tool for Arrow Speed," says Jon Wyly, Executive Vice President, Arrow Speed Warehouse. "Every day, it's more important for data to be current in this industry. That's why we recommend SPEEDCat from DPI if a 'do it yourself' solution is right for you."

"SPEEDCat also feeds into Digital Performance's SPEED Database which is licensed by several of the largest eTailers and Distributors on the Internet," adds Gigi Ho, VP Business Development and co-founder of DPI. "SPEED includes over 700 brands, 850,000 parts and 6.5M applications, making it the largest performance and accessory database in existence."

"We've really made no serious effort to market our SPEED data, but the word seems to be out there, because major industry players have sought us out and licensing it has unexpectedly boosted our revenue 30% so far in 2007."

"SPEEDCat is a key component of DPI's strategy to create and distribute the highest quality data from hundreds of manufacturers through to millions of consumers searching for higher performance - and linking in the channel to complete the sale. To the consumer, we are creating the place where dreams begin to come true. To manufacturers, we are helping create industry compatible data and also providing the means to disseminate it through the Internet. And for resellers, we are bringing buyers with specific and immediate purchase intent," adds Thomas Moore, President and co-founder of DPI.
