Coming to a computer near you: the largest aftermarket search engine for vehicle parts

November 28, 2006 - Long Beach, CA - Digital Performance, Inc. today announced the close of an initial round of growth funding that will support the launch of the world's most comprehensive vertical search engine for the automotive aftermarket.

"For years, we've worked toward our vision of helping consumers get accurate information and more easily fulfill their performance and customization dreams for their vehicles. Our Internet search engine is the fulfillment of that dream. With over 650,000 parts from the 550 leading companies in the automotive aftermarket, we are set to serve this fast growing market - which is estimated to reach $37 billion in 2006," said Thomas Moore, President and Chairman. "We have been fortunate to find a select group of individuals in the technology and automotive marketing sectors who share our vision, and have just closed a financing round that will take us to the next level: multiplying our consumer reach and launching a tool that will not only help consumers, but will also help websites in the automotive industry better monetize their traffic."

This investment round was led by Momentum Venture Management, LLC (MVM) of Los Angeles. "The dynamics of the auto aftermaket are spectacular, despite various obstacles from economic cycles to gas prices to the current, challenging process for finding parts that work on a particular car or truck," said Andy Wilson, Managing Director of MVM. "Digital Performance not only has the means to solve key industry problems but has also built enormous credibility with the big players in the automotive category - earned through five years of hard work. They have laid the foundation for an industry-transforming business so compelling that we chose this as the first investment for our newly-created bridge and opportunity fund."

Chris Pook, well known Long Beach community leader and founder of the Long Beach Grand Prix, has joined as an investor and a member of the Board of Advisors.

"The great strength of the Internet is its ability to deliver information instantly and on demand. We are taking that strength and adding the essential assurance that the information delivered through our database is complete and accurate. Inaccurate data has long been a problem to the automotive aftermarket, costing billions in lost sales and returned goods - not to mention damage to consumer confidence," Moore added. "The industry associations, lead by SEMA, recognize the importance of delivering the best possible results with complete and accurate data, and we are working with them to create the new data standard for the industry. We provide the tools and services to capture and structure critical parts data delivering immediate decision-support information to consumers. It's not an overstatement to call what we're doing 'delivering on the promise of the internet'."
